John 8:12

Then Jesus spoke to them again, saying, “I am the light of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life.”

Hello, Altered Stories Family,

I’d like to ask you a question.

If you truly believed a promise of God fully and completely, and if you were who God said you were, how would this change what you did from day to day?

This was a question I was asked to consider during this week’s Kingdom Seekers session.

Now, if we apply this question to God’s love, the question will go something like this.  If we believe, truly believe that God loves us, how would this change us and how would it impact our actions daily?

The thing is, we live in a world that is desperate for hope and for God’s love. They don’t know it; they only know that they are searching. If we believe truly on a heart level that God loves us, don’t we have an obligation to share this love we’ve found?

We live in a Kingdom as believers, and this King has a love for us, that nothing can explain, or quantify. The best thing we can do is share his love, and try and explain this good news of the Kingdom. Yeshua said, “Repent for the Kingdom of Heaven is at hand.” Matthew 3:2

If you are reading this and you have never known God’s love, I would ask you to consider what he offers.

The good news of the Kingdom is that Jesus died to save you from your sin. You see, every single one of us has a problem, a sin problem. The wages of sin are death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

We have all sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. Yet we have hope, because Jesus came lived the life we could not live, a perfect one, and died a death we all deserved, a death on a cross. He then was raised from the dead on the third day.

So, how do you take hold of this love and hope we now have?

It is as simple as A B C.

Admit that you are a Sinner, unable to save yourself and in need of God’s forgiveness.

Believe that God is who he says he is, Jesus was fully God and fully man, and that he came to this earth to live the life we could not live. He then died a death on the cross and was raised on the third day. He is coming back in bodily form, to set up his Kingdom on the earth.

Confess him as Lord and Savior for the Bible says if you confess with your mouth Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.

If you have followed these steps and have received Christ, then welcome to the family of God.

You have just been made a part of God’s kingdom and you get the privilege of learning about a love that God has for you, that knows no bounds.

God bless,

Teresa
