In This Episode:
- Tonya is a published author and lifelong educator with a deep passion for faith and the Bible.
- She wrote two books, God’s Graceful Guidance and Abigail’s Adventures.
- If we don’t know our enemy and his tactics, we can’t stay one step ahead of him.
- It is important to share as much as we can to whoever will listen because we need to know that we are not alone. We have a lot more in common than what we are willing to expose at the time.
- Tonya shares their “Trust and Transformation” God story.
- She was 11 years old when she truly got saved. She went to church with her grandmother Pat, but her dad was the one who led her to the Lord.
- She went to college for elementary education and got a master’s degree in curriculum and instruction.
- When she was 22-23 years old, God was really tugging on her heart. She got plugged into a church, Bible studies, and Sunday school. Since then, she has been soaking up and learning more about God.
- You know it is ordained by God when the process goes so smoothly, and that is exactly what happened when she published her first book in only 5 weeks.
- We need to love people where they are and not where we think they should be.
- Start by being still and prayerful. Ask God for wisdom to be able to discern what He wants you to do. Every time God brings something to you in those moments of you being still, take that leap of faith. Ask God to order your steps. Take little steps until you see the big picture.
