John 8:12

Then Jesus spoke to them again, saying, “I am the light of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life.”

Hello, Altered Stories Ministry Family.

Soon, it will be Flag Day and that brings up the question. What does the flag represent? Well, to many Old Glory represents freedom.

While it is true, here in America, we have many freedoms the rest of the world does not. For many, you can have those freedoms but still be enslaved. You see, we are all POWs and our captor is sin.

So, how do we get that full freedom, to truly be able to move, and live fully? The answer is by coming to a full and complete knowledge of Christ.

You see with his death on the cross, he paid the price for our sin so we would no longer be held as a prisoner to sin, hell, and the grave. The Bible says in 2 Corinthians 3:12 (NLT) “For the Lord is the Spirit, and wherever the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom.”

I recently did an interview on a podcast where the host right out questioned the need for bloodshed, and didn’t that make God evil, because he required it for our sin. The answer is no, the truth is that Christ’s blood was shed for us, because God is good. He gives us the most wonderful mercy that we could ever experience, and that mercy leads to freedom.

So, take the time to bring to God your questions, and let him break your chains. Trust me, he can handle whatever you captured so you will no longer be a POW, but a son, or daughter of the King.

God bless,

Teresa
