In this Episode:
- Debora is a certified writing coach and an award-winning author of 200 articles and 50 inspirational books.
- It is important for women to share our stories because we need to know what is possible. We don’t become aware of all the spiritual wonderfulness that is out there unless we hear people’s stories that celebrate the things that God is doing in their lives.
- We leave refreshed, renewed, and rejuvenated because of the stories.
- Debora shares her “Attempting Something Big” God story.
- She didn’t start writing until she was 45. A friend mentored her to help her get 10 articles published that first year. Now she has published over 50 books.
- During the pandemic, she lost a lot. She had seven debilitating losses, including her husband being diagnosed with cancer and herself being diagnosed with a sleep disorder. It was a season of many losses and sorrow.
- She thought she was done writing. In the midst of that, a traditional publisher reached out and asked her to write a 365-day devotional for his company.
- So many things we are called to do, at first glance, we can’t, and sometimes we even panic, but God can.
- There are so many instances in which God sends us blessings in the form of healing, love, and all kinds of things.
- Yes, we all go through bad days. We go through bad months sometimes, and bad years, but we can still have a Joseph attitude, and we don’t have to take that out on other people. We can return their unkindness with kindness.
- There is no rest for the blessed. People who are blessed and realize it are always looking to bless other people.
- Keep seeking the presence of God; that is the key to everything.
