Hello, Altered Stories Ministry Family,

As this year ends and we look forward to 2026, I can’t help but look forward to what God will do. That said, we must also thank him for what he has done in this past year.

Maybe, this has been a good year and you’re growing in your faith, you’ve seen God’s hand move, and he is working in the lives of your family and friends.

I hope this is the case for you.

However, if this has been a harder year for you believe me, I understand as sometimes we go through real hard times,

There is a Lyric by Project86 from the song Solace that says, “we cannot fathom the plateau without first the pit.”

Honestly, I find truth in these lyrics, because even our Lord said that you will encounter trouble and tribulation, but I have overcome the world.

What does this have to do with the new year?

We are told in Lamentations 3:22-23, “The faithful love of the LORD never ends.” His mercies never cease. Great is his faithfulness; his mercies begin afresh each morning.

So, no matter weather good or bad, step into the new year confident that God has your back.  He knows where you have been, and his mercy is new each morning, and even more so, each year.
