Hello, Altered Stories Ministry Family,
This week, I had an encounter with God and came to some very hard realizations.
This month is Women’s History month. There have been many women throughout the years, who have been exceptional. They have led Godly lives; they have done many extraordinary things.
But then there have been women who have fallen into the camp of very evil. They have also led extraordinary lives, but they have been anything but exceptional.
Here’s the question, what makes someone exceptional what makes someone evil?
I believe it goes back to your upbringing. The Bible says “train a child up and the way they should go and when they are old, they will not depart from it. “ Proverbs 22:6
Sometimes, what this means, is that if you are raised in a Godly home and you have the ability to make an impact for the kingdom of God, your mother is the closest link to the history that has been set.
When I said, I had an encounter with God, I have been made very much aware that some of my faults are some of the same ones that I picked up from how I was raised.
If you’re reading this, and you realize you have faults that you picked up from how you were raised, know you have a choice and so do I. We can either give in to how we were raised, or we can let God change us.
I believe the choice is ours to make and I am making mine.
I hope this encourages you.
God bless,
Teresa
