Rachelle is the co-host and producer of the Growing Women of Faith podcast and oversees the administration and funding for Bloom International. She lives in the KC area with her husband and 2 children and has dedicated her life over the last 15 years to sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ all around the world. In our authentic conversation, Rachelle shares her traumatic story of childhood sexual abuse and how she was used as bait. She also shares how God used her suffering to help other abused women as a Young Life Leader and Leader for Campus Crusade for Christ and in her missionary work in West Africa and Thailand. Trauma to passion.

At the young age of 7 I felt like free bait. Why me? Why God? For years even after the sexual abuse I thought these things. How could God allow such things to happen? I’ve learned that was not by God but by man. As I was facing these encounters I remember telling myself that there just has to be a purpose for why I am being held down against my will. There just had to be!

I can tell yes there was a reason. My trauma that once took the breath away from me breathes life into my passion each and everyday now.

Through being a Young Life leader and working on summer staff, leader for Campus Crusades for Christ, living throughout West Africa doing full time missions, living in Thailand overseeing educational homes, running hygiene clinics in schools and overseeing women’s conferences deep in the jungles of Northern Thailand. If she is not doing missions you can find her in the great outdoors with her family doing everything from hiking to kayaking.

Her desire is to see women to love themselves for who God made them to be. She has a heart to walk along side women as they learn to become the leader the Lord has called them to be. She oversees the administration and Funding for Bloom International worldwide.
