Episode 68
You are listening on libsyn, now
In my Thanksgiving Episode, I interview special guest, Stephanie Rousselle. Stephanie is the Founder of Gospel Spice Ministries and the talented host of the Gospel Spice Podcast. She was born and raised in France and has served the Lord over the last 2 decades on 3 continent’s, 4 countries and 5 cities through professional roles. In our authentic conversation, Stephanie shares her “From Atheism to Biblical Christianity” God Story! As Stephanie grew up fiercely atheist, she is passionate to inspire other Christians to delight in God and she shares that passion in our conversation, too.
A word to you from Stephanie:
I love few things more than heart-to-heart interaction with my siblings in Christ. Gospel Spice Ministries and the Gospel Spice Podcast were born as the result of my desire to share what God has done in my life—to His glory, and my delight!
I am so impressed by what God has done for me, both in my circumstances and in my inner life, that I deeply long to display His Glory in my weakness. I hope you will find that I do not take myself very seriously and that I like few things more than a good laugh at myself. The stories I share, taken from the wealth of my personal walk with Him, are wholeheartedly aimed at expressing His utter splendor, utmost wisdom, trustworthy power and lavish love. What a God we have!
I am full-blooded, full-stubborn French. (That’s what my husband would say. Huh, scratch that. HAS said. Time and time again.) Born and raised in France, I considered myself atheist—”God” was an outdated man-made invention, and religion a crutch for the weak. Not for me, thank you very much: I was strong, capable, smart and self-sufficient. At age 16, I applied and was accepted into a program to be a foreign exchange student to the United States during my senior year of high school. There, I was introduced to the claims and the Person of Christ for the very first time. He progressively became inescapable and irresistible, to the point that I surrendered my life to Him as my Savior and Lord and thus became, to use C.S Lewis’ words, “the most reluctant convert in all of [France].” And a free, happy one, too. After I returned to my homeland to attend University in Paris, I met the handsome African man who was to later become my husband, thus initiating the incredible adventure of a cross-cultural marriage now two decades in the making. After our two children were born, we moved to Africa where we stayed for almost a decade. We also lived in London. We have now been in the US for a few years. That’s the short readers’ digest version of the last 20 years of my life.
When I teach, I often intersperse details of my journey to make Him my All in all because I hope these stories will point to Him. His glory, my delight. I am an evangelical, born again Christian who believes that the Bible is God-breathed and usable for teaching and training in righteousness (2 Timothy 3:16-17).
SOLI DEO GLORIA!!!
