John 8:12

Then Jesus spoke to them again, saying, “I am the light of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life.”

Hello Altered Stories Family,

As we have finished the season of Passover, and the celebration of our  Lord’s resurrection, I want to take a moment to consider what is coming next.

When I first gave my life to the Lord, and I surrendered everything over to him, I didn’t understand what I had done completely.  I just remember telling God, while on my knees, that I believed I was a sinner, and that I wanted him to live inside of me.

When Yeshua (Jesus) met with the man we know as doubting Thomas, he said something that impacts even you and me 2000 years later.  Allow me to set the scene for you.  The disciples were at a loss, their friend, Rabbi, and teacher had died and there were strange reports coming out that he had ben seen alive.  He had even appeared to the group a week before, but for Thomas, this was too much. Thomas said these words, “I won’t believe until I can place my hand in his side, and feel the place where they put the nails.”

Yeshua appeared to him, just so that Thomas could make good on his word, but confronted with a living Christ, there was no need to go through with proving the Lord was in fact alive.  And this brings us to the point of this little story, what did Yeshua say? “You see and you believe, but blessed are those who don’t see, and yet still believe.”

My friend, if you have trusted in Jesus as Lord, You are among the millions who have not seen him face to face, and yet they still believe. And because of this, our Lord said we are blessed.  What is even better, we are told that he is coming again, and we will see him face to face.

I have through this past weekend been impressed heavily that his return is sooner than we think. Now is the time for salvation, now is the time to get yourselves ready, now is the time to lift up your head, because your redemption draws near.

Yes, we are living in a dark time, and it will get darker still.

Yeshua even said as much, “In this world you will have tribulation, but rejoice, because I have overcome the world.”  I’m hanging my hope and my trust, even my very life on the latter statement, Yeshua, Jesus the Christ, has over come the world!

Stay prayed up, and seek the Lord while he may be found.

God Bless,
Teresa
