John 8:12

Then Jesus spoke to them again, saying, “I am the light of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life.”

Hello Altered Stories Family,

Today is Veteran’s Day here in the United States.  I happen to live in a military town and my Mom served in the Army 82 Airborne. I’m sure that you can think of those in your friends and family who also chose to put on the uniform or maybe you did it yourself.  If you are reading this and you served in the Armed Forces, thank you for your service.

I believe the church should do all we can to support our service members and their families.  In these times of trail and decision, what if we took a little extra time to pray for those in the Armed Services and maybe offer their families a helping hand.

Our Lord spoke to this in scripture when he said, “Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.” (John 15:13 KJ Bible)  When someone chooses to take up the challenge of service, they put their lives on the line for their country.

I hope you will take the time to think about a service member today and find a way to bless them.

God bless,

Teresa
