Hello, Altered Stories Family,
Previously, I wrote about the freedom we have in Christ. As we look forward to Independence Day, let us focus on the freedom we have and the privilege of sharing Christ with others.
When we give our lives to the Lord, we become a member of His family, a citizen of His kingdom, and a soldier of His army. We also receive the call of the Great Commission to go and preach the Gospel to all nations. You will find this call in Mathew 28:19-20. We also see this call in Mark 16:15-18. These passages of scripture make it clear that we are to share the Good News of Christ with anyone who needs to hear it. As we do, we are sharing His freedom.
You should enjoy your Independence Day, but also be on the lookout for someone who needs to hear about freedom from sin and shame through the cross of Christ.
As you read this article, and you do not know Christ, it is easy as A B C.
A = Admit that you are a Sinner, and you need God’s grace and mercy.
B = Believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, and fully human. He came to live the life you could not live, completely sinless, and he died the death you deserved for your sin nature and sicknesses on the cross, He rose from the dead on the third day, and is coming back in bodily form soon.
C = Confess Jesus as Lord and savior. Romans 10:9-10 (ESV) says, “If you confess with your mouth that “Jesus is Lord” and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is by believing in your heart that you are made right with God, and it is by confessing with your mouth that you are saved.” To confess means to tell someone: a friend, or a family member, or you can reach out to us.
I pray that if you do not have a personal relationship with Christ Jesus, you will know Him soon. If you do have a relationship with the Lord, I encourage you to share the freeing truth of Christ with someone today.
God bless,
Teresa
