Hello Altered Stories Ministry Family,
As I write, the world seems to be blowing up around us with fears growing about the Covid19 virus, shortages in food at stores and so many off shooting factors. It would be very easy to give in to fear during this time. However, for a moment, I want to draw your attention to another pandemic, one who’s death rate is %100. Everyone in the earth is infected with the Sin virus whether they are willing to admit it or not.
Worse, without the vaccine found only by the death of Yeshua Jesus our Messiah, the death is eternal, with no remedy, or hope. However, thanks be to God we do have hope in the blood of Yeshua Jesus, the lamb of God, who takes away the Sin of the world. God the Father hinted that this hope was coming every time the high priest would go in and sprinkle blood on the altar of the mercy seat, when the temple was built, and active. He would go in to the room lit only by the menorah, and sprinkle the blood of a sacrificed lamb in the shape of a cross.
The Father’s foreshadowing came to pass hundreds of years later when Yeshua Jesus was put to death as a sacrifice for our Sin. The book of Revelation describes him as the lamb who was slain from the foundations of the world. The Bible says in Romans 6:23 that the wages of Sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Yeshua Jesus our Messiah, our Lord.
So in light of all of this, yes, we must take care with this Covid19 virus, yes, we must make all necessary preparations, but let’s make sure in the mist of our prepping that we have done the most important thing, which is to admit our Sin, and confess that Yeshua Jesus as Lord. Only then can we have peace with God, no matter what happens, no matter what plagues hit, no matter how on fire the world seems to be right this moment.
We his beloved, his remnant, can know we have peace with God we will have eternal life. And no matter what happens, we will have no reason to fear. 2 Timothy 1:7 (NKJV) “For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.”
