In This Episode:

  • April is a Christian Certified Life Coach whose specialty is Divorce Recovery and healthy dating.
  • It is important for us to share our stories to remind women specifically that we are not alone. When we are going through things, the biggest lie of the enemy is that no one will understand.
  • Our greatest strength in sharing our stories is just letting women know you are not alone.
  • When we go through painful moments we don’t just go through them just for ourselves. God heals us from things so that we can then go and help others heal in some of those same areas.
  • April shares her “Restarting Your Story” God story.
  • After her third divorce, she had a long talk with God. God showed her she had a corrupted mindset about relationships and told her to move the finish line.
  • Our hearts and souls are like a forest and every experience that we have is like a tree being planted in that forest. She had to face some of the things from her past to get healing and move forward.
  • We have to do the work and uproot those trees from our past to heal.
  • At the end of 2019, she wrote a book about her healing journey. She knew that telling her story would help other women not repeat her mistakes.
  • One chapter of our life doesn’t make our story. We can write a new story and start over.
  • Healing is a journey not a destination point. You can become healed enough to take some next steps.
  • Healthy marriages start with healthy dating.
  • There is life after divorce. One bad chapter is not the end of your story. There is still time to create a life you love.
