Hello, Altered Stories Ministry Family,
I am currently working on writing a book dedicated to a very dear friend who passed away a few months ago. I’m still trying to wrap my brain around what happened, which has got me to thinking about what would be said about me or you when we die.
Will it be said that you were a hard worker? Perhaps, you gave everything to make sure your family was taken care of. Were you loving, a good friend, fun and outgoing? Or maybe, you heard the ultimate commendation from our Lord, “well done good and faithful servant, enter into the joy of your Lord.” (Matthew 25:23 NIV)
I hope it is your desire to here that last statement, because our Lord will reward those who serve HIM fully. He says to “seek first the Kingdom, and its righteousness, and all these other things will be added to you” however, I think as we go about our lives, we forget that the best is yet to come. When it’s all said and done and all the goodbyes have been said, it all comes down to this. Either we lived our lives in honor of our Lord, or we lived our lives in honor of something else.
When everything is finished, be sure that you keep first things first, and seek HIS Kingdom.
I can truly say that my friend did this. He had his struggles, but he did seek the Kingdom.
