John 8:12

Then Jesus spoke to them again, saying, “I am the light of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life.”

Hello Altered Stories Ministry Family,

As I was considering what to write this week with the world on fire, fear and mistrust running rampant.  I wanted to take a step back, take a deep breath, and look at everything through God’s eyes.

We have a massive gaping wound in our country, but this wound is not at the hands of racial division or police brutality as evil as these things are and as I have seen their work personally in my life. They are not the source of the violence death, rioting, and pain we see flooding our streets.

So what is the reason these things are happening?

I wrote in my Unresolved News article,  which you can read Right here that explains that Jesus warned us these things would happen, and that they would get progressively worsen.  We are living the days of Noah, and these days are evil.

That said, let us examine what drives people to destroy life liberty, and country?

It is called spiritual warfare.

The Bible says that we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities and evil forces in high places.

It is these things that are raising people up to shed blood, bring destruction, and increase division.

What is our call in this time?  We are to be a light in the darkness.

We are to understand that what happened to George Floyd was evil, and we have a God given right to protest, to make our voice heard.  Yet, when that right becomes entitlement, that is when the seed of violence and destruction take root, and that is what the enemy of our souls, corrupts and magnifies.

Let us weep with those who weep, let us enter in and be the hands of Yeshua Jesus to those who are hurting.

One final thing.

When I was a kid, I saw what police brutality can look like, as my Mom on a police stop was knocked around for not keeping her hands on a freezing car, in the dead of winter.  I understand that there can be bad cops, but that does not make the whole police force evil.

I know a police officer personally, and I can tell you that they put everything on the line to serve and protect the citizens under their charge.

In this they emulate our Lord Yeshua, who is the great shepherd and protector of the sheep.

Let us keep these things in prayer, as we move forward.

Let us be the light we are called to be.

God bless,
Teresa
