In This Episode:
- Constance is a wife, mama, podcaster of “Weeds, Seeds and Beautiful Things”, speaker, and self-taught artist. Her mission is to share the love she knows from God who she has learned to trust.
- Prayer is direct communication to God and it is connecting to the power source. It is an opportunity to, no matter where you are, what you are doing, how you are feeling, or what circumstance you are in, you have the ability to connect personally with the creator of the universe.
- We are called to be witnesses of the goodness of God and stories are the way that we get to do that.
- God’s faithfulness and goodness are not dependent on my circumstances or my situation.
- Constance shares her “Broken to be Rebuilt” God Story. She developed an autoimmune disorder at the age of 11. She was incorrectly diagnosed and treated for schizophrenia and she got lost in the mental health system.
- The Lord brought her to a psychologist when she was 28 years old and she began to challenge the schizophrenia diagnosis. When she was 28 years old she began coming off of all the years of medication and it was horrible.
- She marks her healing journey beginning on her 30th birthday because on her 30th birthday was her last suicide attempt.
- The point is not to stop the struggle so much as it is to continue to grow in your knowledge of who God is because that is your anchor.
- Suffering produces something and is the doorway to the face of Jesus. There is nothing worth having more than being able to know solidly without question that God is good and he loves you.
- Hope walks on. Whatever you are facing and wherever you are at just keep walking.
