Hello, Altered Stories Ministry Family,
We are coming upon Father’s Day, a day where we honor the dads in our lives.
I don’t know what your relationship with your dad was like, maybe, he was a good dad and did all the right things or maybe he wasn’t around, spending time with other things, and leaving you on the sideline.
Maybe, you didn’t grow up with a dad, and you haven’t dealt with that father wound for quite a while.
In either case, I am sorry. I can only say this. A dad is supposed to be there to guide and protect. A father is not supposed to anger their kids, rather they are called to bring a child up in the discipline and instruction of the Lord. Ephesians 6:4
This is where if you are a father, you should look to the perfect example, our Heavenly Father. He is loving, he will discipline, he will instruct, guide, comfort, and all these things he does in perfect measure.
So, if you have issues with your earthly father take them to the Lord. Ask our Heavenly Father to heal those wounds and show you how to be a better father, and how to be fathered perfectly.
I hope what I have shared helps. No matter what, I hope that you celebrate your father, and give thanks to God our Father for all he has done in your life.
