Hello, Altered Stories Ministry Family,
For this article, I had something planned to write to you, but God had other ideas.
Within the Jewish calendar, we are in the times of comfort. Just after what is known as the time of the dire straits, which commemorates the times when the temple was destroyed twice, once by the Babylonians and once by the Romans.
Maybe, as you are reading this article you are having a time of it, struggling in your thoughts, or maybe just to get by. This is the case for a lot of people these days. If you are, I’d like to offer some comfort to you. It is found in Jeremiah 29:11. This scripture says “I know the plans I have for you, plans to prosper you, not to harm you. Plans to give you a hope and a future.” These words were shared by God, after he informed the Jewish people that they were to be exiled to Babylon for a time.
Maybe, you feel like you’re living a desert land, a place of exile.
Let me tell you, this won’t be how it is forever. God will come through. I don’t know how. I don’t know his plan, but I know, that I am to lift my eyes up to the hills and see where my help comes from.
So, hold on, don’t quit, don’t give up no matter how hard it gets, because God is on the move! He is alive, active, and he is working on your behalf.
