Hello, Altered Stories Ministry Family,
As we are approaching International Women’s Day this Saturday, March 8th, I have been thinking about how our Lord treated women during the time he walked on the earth.
Back then, women were not counted as credible, and yet, he treated them with respect.
I’ve been watching the series, The Chosen and the story from that series that has stood out to me the strongest is the story of Mary Magdeline. There is a scene in that series where she went and got drunk and didn’t want to come back to the Lord, because he had done so much to deliver her already. When they finally met, His love and forgiveness, even in her shame, hit me so deep because I have been in that place where I messed so many things up, and yet, he always had his hand out waiting for my return.
Of late, the Lord has been working with me for healing in some wounded places and that is the beautiful thing. He is always waiting for us to come to him, his arm is not so short that it cannot save. Isaiah 59:1
Even this morning, he reminded me that he has walked with me even in the deepest pit, and He has helped me to put this to song.
So, I don’t know where you are friend, I don’t know what you are facing, but I do know this, Job said “the Lord gives, and the Lord takes away, even so, blessed be his name.” Job 1:21
Maybe, you are looking for release from a situation, you can’t see a way out of. Maybe, you are needing healing, from pain, or trauma in your past. Perhaps you are needing forgiveness. No matter what it is, know that the Lord will meet you, in that moment. All you need to do is reach out your hand to his, because HE is always waiting with his arms open to you.
It doesn’t matter what you have gone through, or what you are facing now, you can bring whatever it is to him. He has big shoulders and he can handle it.
I hope this article is helpful to you. If you need prayer, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us.
Until next I write,
God Bless,
Teresa
