Hello, Altered Stories Ministry Family,

Summer is already starting to wind down. Maybe you are just finishing a trip, or you’ve done some fun events with your family and friends. In the midst of all the activities that you have taken part in; there is one thing to do that still remains crucial to your faith and a life lived well before God.

In Proverbs 4:23 it says, “guard your heart because everything you do flows from it.” Some translations say that from it flows the wellspring of life. The point here is don’t let your guard slip so that we still have an action-oriented faith. A faith that demands we stay alert to the calling of the world, the temptations of the flesh and the whispers of our enemy.

How have you been doing in this? Have you let things slip while in this more fun filled relaxing summer or have you stayed alert putting shoe leather to your faith?

If you have let things slip, there is an easy fix. Get your eyes back on Christ, repent for letting your guard slip and start to walk the path he has called you to.
