John 8:12

Then Jesus spoke to them again, saying, “I am the light of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life.”

Hello, Altered Stories Family,

We just celebrated Memorial Day. This is a day where we normally have some food, spend time with family and friends and we do so in remembrance of those who fought and died so we could be free.

This month is also mental health awareness month, a time to remember that sometimes the biggest battles we fight are not oversees, with guns, bombs and bullets, but within our own heads.

Although, Memorial Day is over, I would ask you to remember daily those who served, so we might be free and gave their lives. Also, remember those who have come home, and are ravaged by the horrors of war, and struggle each day to live a normal life. I know that there are others who have mental struggles, but I felt it important to call to mind those who have given their all to defend our country, and still struggle with the day-to-day consequences.

Let’s also not forget the families of those left behind, who must live each day without the loved one they lost to the front lines of our freedom.

The last thing I’d like us all to remember is that our Lord said that wars would come, but we are to look up as our redemption is drawing near. Matthew 24:6

Until next time,

Teresa
