“Let us then with confidence drawn near to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need.” Hebrews 4:16 ESV

What matters most in these situations is that God sees the intentions of our hearts. He knows how much we want to please him, how much we desire to serve him, and he is more than willing in his lovingkindness to meet us exactly where we are. He knows that we are human, that we have not yet obtained the perfection that we will one day have in eternity, and He is faithful and just to forgive us when we come to him with an honest attitude of repentance and humility.

In the end, our loving Heavenly Father simply wants us to feel conviction, not condemnation and certainly never shame.

If this has been a struggle for you lately, if you are reflecting back on the first half of this year and realizing you have not obtained as much as you were hoping to, have an honest conversation with God. He will meet you where you are, listen attentively, provide gentleness and understanding compassion in response, and He will help you to readjust and perhaps shift a few things around so that the second half of 2026 can possibly be a bit more productive in these specific areas. He is not here to judge you; He only wants to love you and help you grow.
