In this special Mother’s Day episode, I feature a special guest, Jenna Erlandson. Jenna is a Mom of three and soon to be Mom of twins, a Pastor’s Wife, Registered Nurse, and Podcast Host of the Bridge of the Faithful podcast. In our conversation, Jenna shares her God story of God’s faithfulness to her in her Motherhood journey; experiencing years of infertility before getting pregnant with her first child, who is a special needs child. She also shares how God carried her through many seasons of uncertainty and how he changed her perspective on Motherhood and opened doors for her to start her podcast that was recently recognized by Podcast Magazine on the Top 50 Mom’s Podcast List. She also sings for us a beautiful hymn worship song acapella as part of her God story. Jenna also shares ministering words to those Moms who may be struggling with infertility and uncertainty in their Motherhood journey and are in need of encouragement. Special needs moms also struggle with embarrassment/shame and isolation, we want to remind all of you mamas that you are not alone! We don’t know about the future of our typical kids any more than we know about our special needs kids. And it is so very clear that God placed them in our families to be a blessing and be blessed by us, and only He can give us the strength to do that.
