Hello, Altered Stories Ministry Family,

We are moving into the season of Autumn and with this transition comes a few things to keep in mind. First and for most, that we should truly number our days. Psalm 90:12 (NLT) “Teach us to realize the brevity of life, so that we may grow in wisdom.”

How do we do this? By keeping watch not letting our guard down, because the Bible also calls us to remain alert, for the Devil prowls around like a roaring lion seeing who he can turn in to lunch.1 Peter 5:8 tells us to stay alert and watch out for your great enemy, the devil. He prowls around like a roaring lion, looking for someone to devour.

We can stay ready, alert, armored up and in the fight.

I have had to do this a lot of late by taking a lot more time to stay in God’s word. Of course, the enemy doesn’t want this, so he is throwing everything he can, a bad head space, distractions with fires to put out, other life events in my way to try and keep me from God’s word. This is not happening, and I am making a point to guard that time like a hawk to give God my best time.
