John 8:12

Then Jesus spoke to them again, saying, “I am the light of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life.”

Hello Altered Stories Family.

We entered into a New Year with much to look forward to in 2023, while looking back on 2022 with much to be thankful for.

This year started off with a bang because of the events surrounding Damar Hamlin of the Buffalo Bills, who almost died, due to a cardiac arrest in Monday night’s January 2nd football game. Many prayers were going up to God around the country, including members of the football team who knelt on the field and football analyst, Dan Orlovsky, who prayed live on ESPN.  God showed Himself in a very powerful way. Within a week, Hamlin made a miraculous recovery.

The nation was riveted by his story, with many acknowledging the existence of God.

I believe that this is a taste of what we can expect if we return to God. The Bible says in James 5:16, “The earnest prayer of a righteous person has great power and produces wonderful results” (NLT). Scripture also says in Zechariah 1:3, “Therefore, say to the people, ‘This is what the LORD of Heaven’s Armies says: Return to me, and I will return to you, says the LORD of Heaven’s Armies’” (NLT). (See also Malachi 3:7)

Take some time to pray, if you have not already.  I cannot think of a better way to kick off the new year.

God Bless,

Teresa
