For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.  Jeremiah 29:11

Hello Altered Stories Family.

As we now enter in to the New Year, what should we expect?

While many have said good riddance to 2020, we now need to look forward to this year and ask ourselves what is next? Are we going to see places open up and go back to what used to be normal?

I honestly don’t know.  However, what I do know is this, no matter what happens, no matter who gets in office, no matter what we see coming, we still have something the rest of the world doesn’t have.  We have a hope and belief in an eternal unchanging God, who still sits on the throne.

Over this past weekend, my husband and I were tasked with doing the worship and the message for the weekend service.  We had a lot of tech problems and it took us forever to get them sorted.

Was God shocked by this?  No. He saw all of it coming and I believe no matter what happens in the year to come, God will still sit on the throne and he will have a plan.

What are we called to do in return?

We are called to make our plans and submit them to God.

James talks about this.  He said that many people say tomorrow they will go and do this and that, but they don’t even know if they will have their next breath.

So yes, set your goals, make your plans, but remember that God is the one who will have the final say.

Remember our life is but a vapor in light of eternity.

Finally, if you are reading this and you have not yet committed your life to Christ, now is the best time.  The Bible says that today is the day of Salvation.

As we are beginning a new year, why not start it off right by giving your life over to Christ and making sure that your eternity is secure.  You don’t want to go another day without knowing your sins are forgiven and that your place in Heaven is locked in.

Until next time,

God bless,

Teresa
