John 8:12

Then Jesus spoke to them again, saying, “I am the light of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life.”

Hello Altered Stories Family!

Have you ever had one of those moments where you are so overcome that you know you don’t deserve new mercy, because you have so screwed up? I have. When I had come back to the Lord, and was slowly getting my life right before him after walking away for over 5 years, there came a point when I realized I was highly addicted to text-based gaming, and worse the games I were playing were highly occultic.

It took me a long time to come to this point, because I was very much deceived, and I knew that the gaming was being used to cover up some deeper issues that God had to deal with.  Through prayer, a lot of counseling, and a lot of work, I came out of that addiction, and I understood God’s mercy in a new more meaningful way.

Jeremiah says that God’s mercies are new every single morning.  Isaiah 1:18 says “Come let us reason together, though your sins be as scarlet, I will make them white as snow.”  Later in Isaiah it says that God casts our sin as far as the east is from the west.

I don’t know what you may be dealing with at this time, but I do know that no matter how dark it is, no matter how much of a strong hold the enemy has on your life, I know without question, that God loves you, wants to forgive you, and Yeshua Jesus shed his own blood to make that possible. Through prayer, repentance, and a good dose of spiritual warfare, you can and will find freedom.

If you are reading this, and are not a child of the King, please allow me to make the introduction.

The Bible says that Yeshua Jesus is both God and man, that he came to live the perfect life you could never live, and that he died in your place for your sin. He was buried, placed in a tomb, and on the third day he rose from the dead. One day, and I believe that that day will come soon, our Lord will return, to judge the living and the dead.  He says in the book of Revelation “behold I am coming quickly, and my reward is coming with me.”

So, this leaves you with a choice.  Would you rather stand on your own and face the one who died for your sin, on your own good works, and abilities, yet in the end be apart from God forever? Or would you rather admit you are a sinner, admit that you can do nothing on your own, and that you need and accept Jesus’s death on the cross for your sin?

As for me, I’m in the second camp.

I hope that after reading this, you have either returned to the Lord, or have accepted him for the first time. Maybe, you just needed a reminder that the Lord’s mercies are new every single morning?  I think about this, and am just as blown away, as the first time I realized what he has done.

There is nothing we can do, to make God stop loving us, because he is love. He proved this, by Jesus’ death on the cross.  It was not the nails that held him there, but his own love, and desire to have us with him for all eternity.

I hope this is an encouragement to you, and my prayer is that you will pass this on to someone who needs it.

God bless you, and keep you, and make his face to shine upon you.  May he lift up his countenance upon you, and give you peace!

In the name of Yeshua Jesus,

Amen.

Until next time, God bless!
Teresa
