…Because His compassions fail not. They are new every morning;
Great is Your faithfulness.
Lamentations 3:22-23

Hello, Altered Stories Family.

This month has started out to be nothing short of interesting for me and my family.   All three of us are recovering from Covid. This has meant that we have felt like something a cat drug in, and a dog didn’t want.

Looking out from our own misadventures, the world has been hanging by a thread watching what is happening in in the Ukraine, and Russia.  We are at a point where prayer and trusting God for the outcome is more vital than ever.

So here are a few things we as believers should call to mind as we go before the throne.

First, let us pray for all of the leaders involved in this conflict, that God’s will would be done and that there would be no more bloodshed than is necessary.

Second, let us lift up the believers in Russia and Ukraine, that their hearts and minds would be guarded in Christ Jesus.  Pray also that they would be kept safe and protected.

Finally, let us pray that only the things that God wants to happen will happen.  We live in a world where our Lord said there would be wars and rumors of wars in Matthew 24:6 (NIV), “You will hear of wars and rumors of wars, but see to it that you are not alarmed.  Such things must happen, but the end is still to come.”   This scripture tells us that we are not to let our hearts be troubled.  We are to look up, because our redemption draws near!

I hope this is helpful as we watch the actors on the world stage, because as Christians we have a hope that the rest of the world lacks.

God bless,

Teresa
