Hello, Altered Stories Family,
This April month has been exceptionally hard for me and my family. To put it bluntly, what could go wrong, very often did.
However, it is in the hardest times when you are at your wits end and crying out to God with everything you have, that you find him in that place. The Bible says that when we seek him, we will find him when we seek with all of our hearts. Psalm 50:15, (NLT) says “Then call on me when you are in trouble, and I will rescue you and you will give me glory.
On one particular day I was in a situation as I described above, emotionally spent, and so desperate to hear God in the storm I was going through. I called a good friend of mine, who during the midst of our conversation gave met a word that to this day resonates with me, “seek my face, watch my hand”. That phrase stuck with me, and I got off the phone and once again prayed, this time finding the breakthrough that was so very much needed.
Because of this experience, I am in the middle of writing a song around the word that God gave to me.
Sometimes we want God to move in this or that area, but he offers this, Seek his face. God will act in your life, and in your situations, but sometimes it is not in the way you expect.
Remember, His arm is not so short that it cannot save you, no matter what you have gotten yourself in to. If you call on the Lord, he will answer.
I hope you find these words to be encouraging,
