In This Episode:

  • Sharon is a Christian Life Coach and podcaster with over 20 years of experience in helping people develop more satisfactory relationships, face challenges, develop confidence and a sense of worth by overcoming obstacles, and taking on healthy risks to reach their goals and dreams.
  • She is an empty nester widow. She is a swimmer, gardener, and reader.
  • You have to put yourself in uncomfortable situations on purpose.
  • If we aren’t being transparent, authentic, and honest with each other then we are left alone.
  • The truth is we are all struggling. It is just that some of us have learned to struggle well.
  • Her story started as a young girl living in a dysfunctional home and unstable environment. She really met Jesus for the first time reading The Chronicles of Narnia.
  • She was heartbroken when she lost her husband at the age of 46 from a massive heart attack.
  • Running away, medicating, or avoiding your issues isn’t going to serve you. It is going to make them last longer and grow bigger and more damaging. She had a choice to lean into God or lean away.
  • On the side of every guardrail God gives us is a steep cliff.
  • He’s not limited by time. He is everywhere at all times. He can be my comforter and also be up ahead of me preparing and making a way.
  • We don’t draw close to God when things are easy. You will walk through things in life where you will be stripped away from yourself and everything you rely on and God will show himself there.
  • In our surrender, he battles for us. That is our greatest strength.
  • You might feel scared and alone but God never left you. He is constant.
