For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. John 3:16 (NKJV)

Hello Altered Stories Family,

As I write this blog we are living in very uncertain times. There is the threat of violence in the streets and we do not have an elected leader in America.

So how are we to respond?

In short, I believe we are to pray for our leadership, whoever that may be.

In the meantime, we are to be at Peace or Shalom with all people.  This doesn’t mean be at peace with only those who agree with us.

My Mom and I for the longest time didn’t get along. I was changing and becoming more like Christ, and this made her uncomfortable.  With that said, I made my peace with her and Mike and I were able to lead her to Christ.  Little did I know that she would pass away eight years ago this month.

In these times with so much unrest and anger just at the threshold, we must as the church  offer a hand of friendship, and speak peace. I am not saying, agree, but we can be a people who do not cave in to argument. We can speak truth in love and leave the rest up to God.

We also need to make sure we are trusting in the right things. Government will not help you, politicians will not save you, only God can and will do that.

Remember to keep him first above all things.

While these seem like simple reminders, they are now more important than ever.

God bless,
Teresa
