In this Episode:
- Stephanie is the President and Founder of Rebuilding Your Temple, God’s Way. She is a certified Christian Health Coach, author of “Rebuilding Your Temple God’s Way.”
- She has been married for 44 years to her high school sweetheart, and they have a son.
- Her ministry, her coaching, and her books were inspired by her 20-year faith and health journey through cancer, chronic illness, grief, emotional eating, and cardiac arrest.
- Our stories are one of the most powerful ways God uses us to speak to his people and his daughters. God uses our stories to bring healing to others. Our God stories and testimonies bear witness; they offer hope and stir our faith. Our stories shine light in dark places.
- Stephanie shares her “Rebuilding Your Temple, God’s Way” God story.
- Her God story began at an early age. She grew up in a church-going family. Faith was always present in her life.
- She grew up understanding who God was, but knowing about Him and knowing him personally are two different things. Her personal relationship became very real with Jesus during a very painful season when one of her neighborhood friends died suddenly.
- Her life was altered in ways she would have never chosen. Her cancer journey began in 2006. That season forced her to slow down, turn to God, and lean on Him in a way she never had before. She is now 20 years cancer-free after a horrible prognosis.
- A long season of chronic illness followed. Got reached down in the pit and rescued, and began to do even deeper work in her. It became clear to her that the condition of her body was reflecting the condition of her spirit.
- She began to anchor her faith, her health, her identity, and daily choices in Him. God began to move her from a life of striving and trying to fix herself to a life of surrendering herself. He lovingly redirected her path from law into Christian life coaching.
- In 2025, her life was truly in God’s hands after experiencing cardiac arrest.
- Her survival is a miracle, but God didn’t preserve her life for her to return to her old life. God preserved her life for His purpose.
