Hello Altered Stories Family.
We are about to enter the celebration of Passover, as well as our Lord’s resurrection, celebrated as Easter by many Christians.
As we do, I have been reminded again, and again that this is the time to check our hearts and see if we have any wicked way in us. Psalms 8 talks about this where it says, “Search my heart, and see if there be any wicked way within me.”
The Israelites were told to do this by removing all of the leaven out of their homes. This was to remind them to clear out the sin from their life.
They were also to place the blood of the lamb on the doorposts of the house to shield them from the Angel of death. As they continued to observe this practice, it was done to remind them what God did that night.
In the same way, we observe communion, which is the third cup in the Passover celebration, to remind us of what our Lord did when he shed his blood on the cross.
So, in this Easter season, let us take stock of how we are doing. Do we have things that we cling to, that are displeasing to the Lord?
If so, let us repent of them, and ask for his forgiveness.
The wonderful thing is that if we ask God to forgive us our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us and cleanse us of all unrighteousness.
