For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.  Ephesians 2:10

Hello Altered Stories Family,

This weekend we celebrate the death, burial and resurrection of our Lord.  However, did you know that there is a tie into the Jewish Passover that was just observed this past weekend?  In fact the very sacraments that we take known as communion, was originally a part of the Passover Seder.

For reference, the Passover is a time where Jewish people celebrate the exodus and God’s deliverance from the Egyptians.  However, the Seder has a deeper meaning because as believers in the Jewish Messiah we understand that there is an even deeper deliverance from sin and death.

The communion that Christians observe, was actually the third of four cups taken during the service.  This cup was known as the cup of redemption. The bread was known as the bread of affliction.  It was this bread and cup that Yeshua Jesus said was his body and his blood.

During the time of the Gospels, the disciples were not doing something new, they were observing a Passover Seder.

As you celebrate the cross and the resurrection, remember that His body was broken, his blood was spilt, so you could have a deliverance from sin.

If you have not tasted of this deliverance, now is a good time to take the step.  God made a way for anyone to come to him, all you have to do is admit you are a Sinner in need of a Savior,

Believe he is who he says he is, the rising Lord and coming King.  Confess your belief in him.

If you have done this, then I welcome you to the family of God!

God bless you,

Teresa
