For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.  Ephesians 2:10

Hello Altered Stories Family,

As I was reflecting on what to share and working on another project, the idea of transition came to me.  The idea is that when we come to Christ, we move in to a period of transition.

For example, before I was a Christian I was well known for being hot tempered. I lived by the motto my Mom gave me that you don’t ever start a fight, but you better darn well finish it.

Once I came to the Lord, that mind set began to change. Yes, I still have a temper, but I was through Christ given the power to control it instead of letting it control me.

This is what is known as regeneration. It is also known as sanctification. It basically means that we don’t live by our old nature, we live in his power.

We are in the middle of moving in to Spring and just as the seasons change, so do we move and mature from glory to glory. This doesn’t mean that we always get it right and for the times we slip up, we have the forgiveness of Christ to fall back on.

Jeremiah 29:11 says that God knows the plans he has for us, plans to prosper us and not to harm us. Believe it or not, those plans began from the moment we were born until now.

God also says that his mercies are new every morning.  He also casts our sins away from us as far as the east is from the west.

That’s a lot of promises and all of it comes with our repenting and receiving his Son.

I hope that this blog article is helpful to you.

God bless,

Teresa
